BASIX outdoor blinds installers Sydney.
Jack from Manly on Sydney’s Northern Beaches contacted us with an urgent problem he was facing involving Council. He needed to provide privacy screening as part of BASIX requirements for his renovation and also needed to reduce the heat from the westerly sun, so needed some outdoor blinds. As the windows were up extremely high and in a high wind area we suggested using motorised exterior Venetian blinds.
Exterior Venetian blinds installation
The Helioscreen exterior Venetian blinds were installed using a channel guide system on 3 large windows which provided the privacy he required, the sun control, which was crucial and gave him the option of retracting them when they were not required. As the area had large expanses of glass once the sun hit the windows, the rooms became extremely hot and were uncomfortable to be in, by installing outdoor blinds to the windows we were able to prevent the glass from heating up.
To install the exterior Venetian blinds we erected two stories of scaffolding, our electrician came in and wired up the outdoor blinds and our carpenters’ carried out the installation to everyone’s satisfaction.
Jack was happy and so was Northern Beaches Council.
